Relatively new, seeking upgrade advice

What do you guys suggest?

Give yourself a month with the new gear to become familiar with it and get things sorted out!

You just made some significant changes to two major components (congratulations!) Now I think you'll find that taking time to work on speaker positioning and room layout will be enlightening.

So try different arrangements and listen, listen, listen. Try and get the new speakers placed so the sound is as good as it can be and then try things with the sub and without it. A lot of what comes from an upgrade is subtle, but significant - things like hearing the way a cymbal strike decays or noticing the layering of sound in a recording - and it might take time to sort out what the new gear is doing.

Have fun!

Hi Everyone,

First post. Looking for sage wisdom on how best to upgrade my system. Here's a flow chart of my current system along with specs.

What do you all suggest for upgrading my 2-channel system? I listen to mostly rock music and some pop occasionally. Budget not yet established, but willing to throw $10-$20k into this if needed.

Thanks in advance,

RR
I saw your room size and based on that, have you considered the Von Schweikert Endeavor speakers? Adding some of the Rogue Audio amplifiers and a quality streamer either from Cambridge or the updated Teac NT-505 would really get you going. IMHO. Ultimately you need to decide what exactly you are trying to accomplish. I know I would be going crazy if I had your budget. My system took years to get and lots of searching.
I wish you all the best!

Good! You found your way similar to what I had suggested this morning. Ha!
As stated above you could hold onto the sub, but those speakers really shouldn't need it and would probably bring them down a bit.

Snikeys... Nice looking setup. Way to jump right in man. Not knowing almost ANYTHING about new gear as I am an older Fisher tube and 1949 type Altec speaker and vinyl kinda guy, I would have to say I bet that sounds wonderful. Given your room size I would also say that you are a lucky dude.

I would be willing to wager you could improve the overall presentation by a large margin with well planned acoustic treatment to that room. I am not the expert, but the information is out there.

Thank you, I have actually done some preliminary research on this already. Lots to learn. And more budget to save up for I'm sure
