RFI/EMI filtering question

Ive been using the cheap but robust FURMAN SS6B power/surge strip to power my stereo equipment.

It says it has EMI/RFI filtration.

Do device that use that type of filter produce a clean sinewave?

My concern being it may provide a stepped sinewave like you would get from a battery backup ups. Hence it might introduce noise or otherwise not play nice with sensitive power amps etc.

Ive used it for sometime with solid state equipment with no sonic effect that I can detect but I recently introduced some sensitive tubes into the chain I wanted to make sure it is playing nice with them.

Thanks

It is just a surge protector & noise filter. It does not itself create any waveform as an inverter/UPS/power regenerator does.

I honestly doubt its going to be reconstructing any sine wave. Its a $27 power strip with surge protection. It says that it has the ability for RF/EMI attenuation. My guess is that it using something like ferrite rings for noise filtering and varible resistors for surge protection. There would be no reconstruction of the AC sine wave in a power strip at this price, so i think you won't have to worry about a "stepped sinewave".
