Right place, right time!

So I stopped in my local GW the other day. As I was looking around I spied a pair of JVC mini speakers, and behind them, a pair of nearly mint pair of something taped together with clear box tape. As soon as I turned them around, the badges were MISSION. I grabbed them, and found the price, $2.99 for the pair! They are MISSION 8VET Bookshelf speakers from a micro system. I hooked them up this morning, tossed Steely Dan's Katy Lied in the cd player, turned on the HK330c, and what a treat. Very nice sounding set of speakers, Although light in the bass, very pleasing to my ears. They are "keepers", and now I have a reason to part with another pair of Minimus 7's. As far as the condition of the cabinets and grill material, I say 9.9 out of 10.

Funny little upside down speakers.

Not knockin' them -- got a pair of 760i that perform wonderfully. I don't look at them while listening to avoid the distracting urge to turn them right-side up.
