Roger Waters: Is This the Life We Really Want?

Agreed. I've liked this album more with each listen, definitely has repeat listen-ability to it. I love the thick moody synths, bass, and piano. A lot of bottom end on this one. My only real complaints is the stupid Trump clip they play right in the middle of the album and some parts are too compressed.
I kind of like how he put in the trade-mark "Floydian" echoes after some of the words but not in the nice reverbed tones of the old days but more in an old-mans ragged voice.

Sorry for threadjack but this will probably be the final tour for The Moody Blues.

Okay back to Roger.

I heard rumors about Roger and David getting back together in the future but that's a rumor.

I'm a huge fan of Pink Floyd, but I've never been able to connect with Roger's solo albums, or The Final Cut for that matter. I'll give this one a shot at some point, and the one song I've heard wasn't bad. But the hyper-serious screeds often get tiresome to me, even when I agree with him!

I have an appreciation for The Final Cut now, much more than when it first came out. Yes, it's dark and moody but it makes sense to me now and didn't then. Amazing what a bit of time and maturity will do for you.

Go see this tour it is AWESOME!!!

I've seen him three times and this is the best one yet.

EDIT: The high cost is worth it because the presentation is so good. The sound is amazing. If he can make the Shark Tank in San Jose sound good he can do it in any venue.

He played mostly Pink Floyd songs from WYWH, DSOTM, Animals and The Wall. Just a few from the album that did not sound too bad with his amazing sound system.

If you love Floyd go see this show.

p.s. For this one, forget about the Gilmour vs Waters arguments too.

I have no doubt the show would be epic. He plays here tomorrow. Decent seats were $200 each but ended up at just under $750 for two after all the "convenience" fees. I passed but would have bought them at $450.

I'm sure artists despise this as much as I do.

Keep looking, prices come down the day of the show.

You actually want to sit up on the sides for this one. He lowers a huge projection screen down the middle of the arena and you won't be able to see it if you're under or behind it.

Final Cut is my favourite solo album of his, this one seems a little weak in comparison but I'm still going to see him in Toronto this fall...last chance probably.
