Rotel RX-855 impedance discrepancy

Hello everyone... Fuzz here. I have a Rotel RX-855 receiver that I just rotated into my main listening system. Here's the question: The manual says that when running both sets of speaker outputs the minimum impedance of each speaker should be 8 ohms. However on the back panel it states minimum impedance should be 16 ohms. I'm running stacked Large Advents, 8 ohms each. I barely run the volume at about 1/3 and it's not getting more than warm. Anyone have experience with this receiver?

I do, and I responded to another post before you bought the unit, but just a few minutes ago.
But I wasn't using it with multiple speakers - just the opposite, I was using it to bi-amp a single pair of speakers. I think I was using it to power the tweeters, and using the MC stage (which made a single fart on a low C every minute or so. Too bad)
Have you tried it? How did it perform?
