rsl speakers

hello everyone my name is albert,

i looking for a pair of rsl rougersound lab speakers model Nevada XT or Titans, these are from the 80's. i bought these two pairs in huntington beach ca. back in 88, we recently had a house fire and lost my speakers along with other audio componets.does anybody now were i can find some, thanks albert

Sorry to hear about the loss of your gear due to a house fire. The place to be looking is in the Los Angeles / Orange Country CraigsLists online where RSL speakers turn up quite frequently. Nevada's and Titan's are not common though because not that many were ever sold by RSL.

They can't play as loud as the Nevada's, or put out the bass, but I'd recommend a pair of Elan's as they do turn up quite often and sound very good and usually just need the passive radiator on the rear panel refoamed. 6600-H's would work well for you but they are rare and only occasionally show up. Buying two pairs of 3600's and stacking them might be the ticket as they turn up all the time and usually sell for moderate prices. Good luck.

Yeah, sorry to hear about that. When I was a kid, we had a huge fire that gutted half of our 3-story Victorian house - I can't imagine having to deal with that now. It makes me think about the stuff I have now - the gear, my LP's, etc.

Wish I could help, but here in New England, we never see any of the west-coast house-brands like that. Like he said, Southern California CL is the best place to start, I would think.

I have seen more than one RSL at the Southern California Salvation Armies so always check there...my 3600s are not going anywhere soon. In the last three years I have had much better luck at the SoCal SA's than the Goodwill for speaker scores.
