RTR HPR-12 Magnum Owners Manual

I recently found a gentleman who bought the remnants of the original RTR Industries (pre BIC). He sent me some interesting info on my HPR-12 Magnum speakers. I thought It would maybe help those who have or may in the future buy these speakers. So, in the interest of sharing information, here is the owners manual :

So I got my RTR HPR-12 Magnums from the other side of the country and...only one of the pair works. The cones look fine and they're in great shape (never in garage or storage) but there is no sound at all from one speaker. I've A/B'ed them so I know it's the speaker. There are limited options near me for speaker repair. Any thoughts or suggestions for a next step to help narrow down the issue...?

I`m no tech, but one thing to try is hold the breaker button in on the back and see if it works then. Or try spraying some deoxit into the breaker button and work it in and out a bunch of times. For some reason I`m suspecting that breaker. Or pull the woofer and pull the leads from the back of the breaker and connect them together.

Thank you ihmark for the great Magnum sheets you posted above,those are quite rare and an asset of great interest to Magnum owners!

@ daveydoo, hope no news is good news and you had a good result cleaning the breaker button? Also, the pots for the tweeter and midrange should also be cleaned while you're at it, or sometime. The amount of resistance from oxidation is going to be high even if they seem to be working ok (affecting continuity and output sensitivity), especially if they've never been cleaned.
