SA-730 Receiver Scratchy Volume Control

Hey guys. Okay, I'm tired of my scratchy volume control on my SA-730 receiver, and I need ideas on fixing this. As the thing's around 26 years old it probably needs this done and a general dusting inside. So, how do I go about this?

Should be an easy fix. I've had the same issue with other vintage equipment. Take the cover off, blow the dust out with compressed air, and spray a little Deoxit on the control pots, switches, etc.. Work the controls and I'll bet it will be good as new. Some advise to wait a while before powering up after using the Deoxit but I never have and haven't had a problem yet. Good luck.

After deoxiting the controls (switches and pots) Faderlube (by Caig too) all pots.

Deoxit's 95 % solvent in cleaning out the pot to allow the deoxit to work takes out the old lube, and the pots MUST be lubricated...

Thus the Faderlube.
