SA-9500 II Filter Caps

I recently traded a guy for a pair of Pioneer separates that he was using but had been in storage and unused for the last five years (SA-9500 II and TX-9500). They're both in need of a bit of cleaning up and refurbishing so I decided to get started in on the integrated first.

I thought it would be a good idea to first replace the 12,000uF, 63V filter caps before I power up the amp. What would be the recommended brand replacement cap for this amp and who's the available sources for the caps? The caps measure 40mm dia. x 90mm long and are pin type. Thanks.

Check lead spacing.

I noticed that these are 4-pin. I would prefer to get some 2-pin caps if possible.

Uh, why? They all lead to the same place and provide more connection points.

Of course,How silly of me.. Try Wallgreens...


Just snip off the ones you don't need.
