Well it doesn't blow up, spark or catch fire based on the information you received. With that said, if you want it working take it in to be fixed. If you want to see what might be wrong, possibly be a Chaz862 fix, hook it up and get the symptoms of the issues and post them. Then someone might know a bit about what might be wrong and be able to help you get the unit working right. But sometimes fixing these things requires a soldering iron and parts. I have no idea where you are on the home electronics technician scale (I can plug it in and turn it on but I need help hooking it up...or...Where's the schematic, I'm gonna make this one better or somewhere in between) so your evaluation of that would determine what to do next. Remember this Pioneer forum has people that help enough so that if you have just the volume knob from some unit they can help you rebuild the unit from that point to completely working just through post exchanges here in the forum. There are some that have trained folks to solder before venturing into the unit with that iron.
