Sad Bag of Shakey Jake (Humble Pie)

Nice,

Frampton before he went all teenybopper on us!

He shoulda stuck it out with Marriot! They complimented each other quite well.

Watching this video, I was struck once again with something that always annoys me. How many have noticed this while watching a video of a band playing live? As soon as a player starts to do something interesting (eg guitarist playing solo), the camera will do a close-up of a different musician, like the bass player. What's up with that?

God THAT BAND WAS AWESOME,I never under stood why they didn't become superstars. Humble Pie rules!!!

Well Shakey Jake is 103
Still smokes his hickory
Drinks that mountain dew ...

Wow, lots of HP tunes on Youtube.

Frampton did work with Marriot after leaving HP. They were working on a project when Steve died. I think some of those tracks ended up on a recent Frampton LP.

They were incredible on all accounts: composition, musicianship and stage presence. Marriott in particular. Probably a tad too "soul" influenced to become "rock" superstars.

Man what a terrible loss when Steve died, he was supposed to be working on a project with Frampton when he died:tears:

Jerry Shirley was a DJ on 98.5 WNCX in Cleveland for a few years and had alot of good insider music stories to tell. He faded away not long after some scandel about him maybe stealing money from a charity he was doing or something.
Its been a few years and I forget the details but he did this "30 days in the hole" food drive to fill semi's with food or gifts around Christmas and some money issue popped up but I cant recall the outcome.
Jerry was a good DJ and his knowledge was cool to hear, he always signed off the air saying "nice to see you, to see you nice"...............wonder where he is now?

The Pie have traded Frampton for Clempson and added The Blackberries. It's the Humble Pie Youtube Annual thread. Thanks for the java hit, Olson. :thmbsp:
