The picture is showing AU-X111 and AU-X1111 Mos Vintage and they are indeed different. AU-X1111 and AU-X111 Mos Vintage are close to each other but I don't know all specs.

i know what you meen its hard to find info on the x1111 or the mos.i think the au x1111 is a intergrated amp .where the mos vintage is more of a processor/amp.but apart from that not sure ?

Not sure which models you mean but here are specs and info on :

au-x111mosvintage.JPG

Specs : AUX 111 MOS Vintage

and

au-x1111mosvintage.JPG

Specs : AUX 1111 MOS Vintage

The above 2 amps appear to be pretty identical just different release dates.

There are also two previous AUX models :

au-x1.JPG

Specs : AUX 1

and

au-x11.JPG

Specs : AUX 11

Not sure what a AUX 111 is -

Here's a picture of something selling as one :

AUX 111

which looks a lot like this low end Japanese domestic model from the mid 90s :

Specs : AU - α205

As mr Mr. Ohshima said, the designer of the amp. AU-X1111 Mos Vintage is the "King of the Integrated Amps"

Beautiful ! :thmbsp:

How does it sound compared to the AU-919 ?

- Neil

Neil, don't want to pollute this thread with my observations.Sometimes, in the near future I will open my own.AU-919 is a wonderful amplifier and I liked so much, but at one point I had to decide which amp's I'll keep...and 919 had to go.I simply have no room for all stuff.Know I'll regret.

Tnx Stene,
indeed,he is the King

Hi bikingbuddha.

I hope you like your new Sansui. Not to put it down, but the X111 was a low priced amplifier that was not in the illustrious line of the X1, X11, and the MOS Vintage amplifiers but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t sound great. I’ve never heard one. Let us know how you like it.

Cheers.

Yes, I figured that out while searching for it. There isn't much information online regards to Sansui AU-X111. Every time I type it on google, I get that MOS Vintage model information. However, like many professionals and seasoned audiophiles say, "Sound is a personal thing..., If you like it then you like regardless of how cheap it is...!".

I don't have many things to compare it with. It is light years ahead of sound quality than everything I have owned and tried so far to power my LS850 Marantz. I previously owned the below models.

Marantz SR 73 (A Prologic receiver)
Yamaha (I can't remember the model, it was also a Prologic receiver from mid-'90s)
Qinpu Q2 (Definitely can't compare)
Lepy (Chip amp, super cheap off the eBay)

I felt like Sansui is light years ahead of above when it comes to sound. It is so clean and the bass is very good. Nothing is overwhelming. I felt like it has plenty of power to drive the old Marantz LS850 towers. My source is just FLAC and m4a files streamed via a Bluetooth adaptor to the CD IN. So as you can see this isn't absolutely nothing compared to high-end setups.

I'm super happy with it because i didn't go for at total **** sounding something. That's what matters. :)
