Sansui G8000 looses Signal on right channel

Hello everyone, I live in Germany, so my English isn't that good. I have a Sansui G8000 receiver. Everything is actually working fine. Unfortunately, it keeps losing the right channel. Immediately after starting the device, sound comes out on both channels. After a short time, however, the sound on the right side is lost. The level indicator then stops moving.

Does anyone know this problem or could someone help me find and fix the problem?

Best wishes from Germany

Hi,
There is a good chance that the speaker output relay is dirty.
Best to disassemble the relay and carefully clean the contacts with a stiff piece of paper (like a business card) soaked in contact cleaner. Do not use sand paper!

Adi

Move, working all of the controls with the volume down low. Then see if this will being back the sound in the troublesome channel. Paying attention to the source and the connect disconnect switch. This is located on the right side by the speaker terminals. This connects the preamp to main amp.

Sometimes a very good cleaning of the controls will eliminate such an issue.

Are the level indicators not connected before the relays?

I cleaned the controls very thoroughly. There is no crackling or noise at all when operating them.

Clean all the switches with Deoxit. You have to disassemble the unit and inject the cleaner into any opening in the body of the switch, then work the switch 30 times. Clean the "Connected / Separated" switch on the side. If that doesn't fix it, turn the unit upside down. There are 3 speaker relays. Tap on the relays and see if the channel comes back or goes out. If so, replace all 3 relays. Cleaning them will not work, the plating is worn off the contacts and they are oxidizing.
