On the bench;
This AU-717/TU-717 never saw a repair bench!
They have been sitting in boxes for 20+ years.:yes:
That's an 8080 waiting for more caps in the background
Clean!!!
The turntable still has the plastic on the control section.
though the strobe light is intermittent, I'm hoping it's just a loose connection.
Slight scratches on the plinth and dustcover.
Sounds great!
Should I replace my AU-999 with this setup, finish the 8080 then replace the electrolytics or should I replace the electrolytics first?
decisions, decisions.
He had a cassette deck as well(it wouldn't play, probably a belt), but I don't have any cassettes any more.
I've been going through them and I seem to have a bit of a problem with the turntable speed it flucuates some times with the quartz lock nothing major(I hope), the strobe light needs to be replaced, new monofilament for the anti skate, and the rubber in the feet has deteriorated.
Minor bits.
But it sounds great and looks great :thmbsp:
I've got a couple of Dual TT's that I'm about to get rid of, one needs a cartridge mount 1019, and the other needs some work on the return and general adjustment I forget the model #.
I'll post in the classifieds soon, I need the space.
