Sanyo OTTO quad record sampler. I think?

Found this interesting record today. It's Japanese and the title only says Sanyo Solid State Stereo Otto. OTTO means "Orthophonic Transistorised Technical Operation". The tracks appear to be classical. In English I can see on the label Partichela, Lara, Bizet, Bach, Friedman. It's a 12" at 45rpm.

The gatefold is all in Japanese again but I can make out a diagram that explains a 100hz signal and a 10khz signal. I have researched that an Otto range of quad amps and receivers was released by Sanyo for their high end equipment. All of this leads me to believe that it's a demonstration record. What do you guys think?

I have washed and cleaned but haven't played it yet on two channel. I'm getting a rear Sansui amplifier this week so I might save it for that. It was in pretty rough condition but the vinyl came up ok. It won't be playing silently due to excessive scuffs but it's had the best vac clean I can give it and there are no deep scratches.

I'd appreciate any comments as there doesn't appear to be much info (none that I could find) on these pressings.

Interesting to say the least. Do to AK and other audio sites I've learned a lot of Japanese manufactures made demo or test disks.................
 
On the label it says it was made by King Record Co. Pty Ltd. It must have been a demo. I haven't researched King records yet BTW.

I do have a working Sanyo quad receiver and matching speakers but currently have nothing connected to it as it's around 12-14 watts or so. I think I can wait for the Sansui to arrive. If I get the urge a TT might have to go into the Sanyo. It has funny speaker connects that need upgrading so at the moment she's sitting in a 70's cab with other equipment around her and just providing the face looks.
 
Playing side one now and there is a Japanese "instruction" as to how it all works with samples, followed by music tracks. Getting late so I'll report on side two later. Cheers.
 
It very possible that King Record is an affiliate or a subsidiary of Sanyo Japan.

One 1986 Gold Disc " King Record " CD has an inscription on that reads " Manufactured by Sanyo Japan ". :music:
 
FYI and FWIW, OTTO is a brand name used (at least in the past) by Sanyo in Japan.

Many Japanese companies, for whatever reason and particularly in the past, operated under different names in Japan compared to the ROW (rest of the world).

Some examples:

Matsushita (Panasonic, National)
Aurex (Toshiba)
TRIO (Kenwood)
Toyopet (Toyota)
Nissan (Datsun, originally DATson)
