So I bought some unknown speakers that look interesting. They were at an auction and I snagged them for 74 bucks. No maker mark, clean and have a nice vintage look. I see some silver/chrome looking dust caps... I'm thinking some JBL D130's could be inside. There was no way to see inside prior so fingers crossed that it might be something cool. If anything I can always take the cabs in to the thrift store or donate to a member who might like them for a project.

I found a similar set years ago at a large community sale. Brought them home, removed lots of screws, but something was still holding one corner and all I could do was peak in a bit to see some gold color. My heart starting beating thinking Tannoy!, but when I was able to pry it off, it was just Utah! Was a cheap thrill while it lasted. Another set years later did yield some JBL D130's in some nice Karlson cabs.

Well picked them up and I'm actually surprised. The cabs are in amazing shape, nice internals, no crossover but some some 16ohm JBL D123.

They sound awesome and I was surprised to see how nice they are. I'm 75 bucks in and it's a nice little buy I think.

Not sure about the D123 as I've never had a set before. It's no D130 but hey, it's a nice set.
