I've got a 1980's JVC receiver with a rocker switch for the volume control that has started to make scratchy sounds and occasionally drops a channel. The culprit appears to be dirty contact in the rocker switch itself because if I jiggle the rocker switch up and down the unwanted sounds or lost right channel clears up. Is this likely something that can be addressed by cleaning with De-oxit or do I need to source a new volume switch/pot?
