Sad to see what has become of the home paper for AR/KLH/EPI/BA/ADS and others.
It's as if the Baltimore Sun had a "How To Piss On Edgar Allan Poe's Grave" article.

Well, there's the hook. Learn him about the Boston loudspeaker legacy.Sad to see what has become of the home paper for AR/KLH/EPI/BA/ADS and others.
The next thing you know, somebody is going to suggest you take an old junky '32 Ford 5 window coupe, drop in a blown big block Chevy, late model running gear, and paint it RED!!!
Think about it.:scratch2:
....perhaps it's better to just leave sleeping dogs lie. Really, how many people are going to read that column and go out and follow the directions given?
the low prices that much of this gear goes for and those of us that rely on that for our hobby.
Rather than draw attention to the article, give it three days and the attention span of America will forget all about it.....keep revisiting it and it might bite us in the ass in the long run.
Mike
You are so right, Mike. My fears, also. I sent an email to the guy and then realized we all might be making a big mistake bringing attention to this wonderful, Affordable, hobby.
I don't think there will be a whole lot of attention given to the article. Optimistically there may be a few young folks out there who will test those old fart speakers and realize what they have.
I can appreciate the time and effort it takes to flawlessly restore a vintage vehicle, just as I can appreciate my pair of 1976 Klipsch Cornwall speakers that, contrary to some beliefs, sound just great without changing the crossovers or drivers.Yeah. As the owner of a completely stock 1931 Ford model A restored to concourse level I can say that is just as bad, if not worse, than hacking up a pair of vintage speakers.
I couldn't find an address for the author of the article. All I could find was the addy for the person that posted the article, who I would imagine is an editor..
Either way, he could probably put you in contact with the writer, who I have a feeling you will find is about 23 to 25...
Um, who cares. Who's the girl at the top of that page with the Maria Bartalomo eyes?
