Sennheiser OEM ear pads

The Past is Alive
Okay. So.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD428 headphones with deteriorating ear pads, and I want to replace them.

The auction site has pads from china. But I would like the real thing, if possible.

Where can I procure genuine Sennheiser components for my HD428's?

If you want to pay top dollar, contact Sennheiser. There are other websites that sell Sennheiser replacement parts. You just need to do a search. Amazon had velvet earpads (Geekria) for$13.01

The new replacement 'felt' covered ear pads have been successfully installed! Sounds great.

Now, I just noticed that the headband pad also needs replaced since it is falling apart. I started to remove this pad but noticed the wiring has been taped/glued to the pad.

Does anyone have experience replacing the headband pad? The right channel wiring seems to be attached to the pad; how to address this while installing the new headband pad?

I got my HD424 replacement foams from Sennheiser, not that much more than "auction" site sellers. I bought 2 sets, and keep one in a cool, dark place.

Can't vouch for your model headphones.
