Servicing tips on Nikko 1415

I just picked this up, and the left channel is weaker than the right when in stereo but fine in mono. I am going to make this the first one I service myself. Does anyone have any pointers? It seems like it is a performer, but more snap crackle pop then 10 bowls of Rice Crispies.

Carefully clean all switches and potentiometers with DeOxit or equivalent. That may cure the imbalance and fix the noise.

Yeah, I got the tips. I was just looking for some insider pointers. I also have the service manual, but I don't wanna get that deep

Should be one hellaofa receiver! thats one of the under radar monster receivers there! All the Nikko gear i have had and heard is typically excellent!!
