Should I Upgrade The Cart/Stylus On This Used Dual 1019?

It looks like I'll be picking up a Dual 1019 tomorrow and from what I can tell it has a ATN110E stylus on it (not sure of the cart). Pics below. What are your thoughts about the quality of this stylus...does it need a bump up? If so, what are your recommendations?

How do I go about learning what stylus go with what cartridges? I have a Pioneer PL-518 that has an ATS11E and I'll be swapping it out for a Shibata. Could I use the ATS11E on the Dual?

Also, this particular TT has an issue with the tonearm occasionally returning before the record is over. Anyone have experience on what the issue may be?

Thanks!

The AT110E (elliptical) is a pretty good budget cart. If the stylus is okay, why not use it for a while?

I was mostly just curious since I do not know much about carts and styli. Also, I have a feeling the stylus may be in bad shape because it's a garage find, but I don't know yet.

Would I be able to use the ATS11E I'm taking off the Pioneer if I need to, or is that like mixing things that shouldn't go together?

Thank you.

Thank you! I'm sure I'll be here lots from now on!

Thanks for the chart. I'd stumbled across it last week and it confused me a bit because I thought ATS12S and ATN12S were compatible replacements for my ATS11E, but the 'Interchangeability/Upgrade Group' designation is different for ATS12S and ATN12S, or am I totally misunderstanding how to read it?

Yes, you are correct. The ATS-12S & ATN-12S have different bodies, they are not compatible. They both have the same Shibata stylus tip.

Perfect. I was going to make the purchase today too so that's EXTREMELY helpful. Last question, I Promise (for today, at least)...Since I'm looking at the Shibata stylus for my Pioneer, is there any need to upgrade the AT88E cart to an AT12s? That's if I can even find one somewhere. Haven't seen it available online anywhere.
