Nothing wrong with that! I have a Technics SL-5 and Denon DP-15F in 2 of my Maggie consoles.

My Zenith X938 when I brought it home last week. Still detoxing it remove the cigarette smoke smell from it. Seems to be working according to the wife who can detect someone smoking a cigarette a block away. Not sure what the plans are for it after. I was going to use it as a shelf to put my SX-650 and TT but the lines are too clean to clutter up. It powers on but has weak volume and signal.
It sure is pretty.

You could always use it to land airplanes on :rflmao:

Nice piece. The fact those long cabinets stay straight without middle legs shows you they are well made structurally. There is a good chance the amp in that thing needs a full recap based on what you are saying about the weak output.

i just pulled the amp section from a Silvertone console I am working on. It was separate from the preamp tuner section. Made it easy. One multi can cap and 3 other can caps all were way way off spec. Without delving into how your's is configured, I am not sure.

my fisher statesman 1010.

currently in the midst of refreshing the speaker caps, and am probably buying two fisher 100 monoblocks (mine came with 1 only). i am refurbing an empire 598 II to replace the garrard rc88. then i’ll recap entirely the 202T preamp tuner; it should sound as good as it looks!

1961/2 Magnavox. Was gutted except for speakers when I picked it up. Had a tv originally. I'm thinking mahogany, but not sure. Any guesses? It's beautiful and it's staying here until I croak if I can help it. Will probably retrofit as much Mag innards into it as I can, probably ss instead of tube.

1967 The Fisher Electra.

Another shot of the Magnavox.

1968 GE.

Magnavox of that era offered their consoles in Mahogany, Cherry and Walnut knowing nothing of how to differentiate between them I can't help however I do have an OEM Magnavox sales catalog circa 1961 and I do not see your model listed.

Some pics here from the 62 catalog

If you're so inclined on the back of the console there hopefully should still be a tag that looks similar to this.

If you can find that and post the model # we might be able to assist in additional ID

Just picked up this little Symphonic. It had a crusty series string tube amp and melting wire turntable in it. I deemed it not worth it to restore the electronics so I did a resto mod.

Made a new top plate to fit a Garrard AT6 I had restored and bought a little chip amp with AUX and Bluetooth. Used the original amp mounting plate, which I modified, to mount the amp. Also running a separate phono stage and magnetic cart. I may replace the speakers at some point.
