SL-QL15 Linear TT

What’s more risky then buying a turntable on ebay? Buying a “untested” linear turntable on ebay right? Well, I took the plunge & came out fine! Found a Technics SL-QL15 for $13. The deck came quickly, packed great, and is in near mint condition. Spent no more than 5 minutes cleaning it-hooked it up & it works great. Checkout the pic’s.
I’ve been coming up empty @ yard sales for over 2 months now for any gear, so I took a chance & it looks like the “audio gods” were with me! (for this time anyway)

Yup, should be the stock EPC-P202 - hopefully with an original needle, 'cause that's one of the neat ones with boron cantilever...

Glad to hear a "success story" coming from an eBay TT purchase, for a change, especially one involving an LT, and not one about shipping damage! :thbmsp:

I picked up an SL-J2 linear tracker on that auction site a few weeks back for $15. I made sure that the seller removed the mat so that it didn't come loose and damage the stylus (something I learned from the archives here). Has a very nice AT P-mount and sounds fab. In all my years of turntables, I've never owned one that allows you to select or skip album tracks using the controls (how many tables have that feature?).

The Technics linear trackers are nice tables, and can obviously be picked up pretty inexpensively if you hunt around.
