Hello AK,

i recently acquired a Sony CDP R1 and DAS R1 combo. And i was even able to find a new KSS190A laser, although the laser on the CDP R1 is still functioning very well. Just as a precaution i decided to buy this very very very rare laser.
The only drawback is, is that the twin link cable is missing.
Still searching for one, but this is probably more difficult than finding a KSS190A laser.
As i see it, this cable is a parrallel optical cable. Would i be possible to DIY a twin link cable?

I will post some pictures soon of this combo

regards,

Hi there, I'm also on the same quest to find a twin link cable. Did you manage to DIY one? if so could you please share the details? Thanks.

Holy resurrected threads, Batman! :)

My understanding is that Sony's Twinlink connection is essentially a doubled Toslink optical connector. I think you could run two Toslink cables and achieve a proper connection. You might have to trim the outside ends of the cables to get them to fit in the Sony's jack. I think it's worth buying a pair of inexpensive Toslink cables and at least giving it a try.
