I just put one of these receivers on the bench and then opened AK only to find this post, funny. Broken tuner string, my favorite job, NOT.

That was the easiest tuner string I've ever done, super simple. The volume control turned out to be bad, huge mistracking at lower levels, got better the more it was rotated. These receivers use Alps Black Beauty volume controls so not much chance of replacing it.
