I have three pair of Infinity speakers (work, home & studio) that use the 3 1/8" EMIT tweeter. (Infinity diaphragm part number: 751-3722) One has an open. I tried the repairs I've read about in the various posts, but this open was in mid-etch, and even the smallest Weller Micro-Touch iron was too big to affect the repair. The etch lifted before the solder flowed. The best price I've seen was fairly steep: $120 each, not counting shipping from Orange County Speaker a.k.a. Has anybody found a more economical source for these items? I did find a couple used ones on EBAY, but Im reluctant to do any more business on EBAY because of a couple of bad experiences, once bitten, twice shy.
