speaker placement

I have some Heresy II's flat on the floor, will placing a 2 or 3 inch block or strip under the front of the speaker to angle it up a bit help with the sound? I am listening about 8- 10 feet away speakers off to left and right. Overall they sound great! Just experimenting.

Yes, even an inch or two should provide you with a noticeable difference. Three inches (under just the front) may be a bit much though.
 
Just Experimenting ....

As long as you're in the mood...
1. Get the speakers at ear level...
2. Get more speakers...
3. Ambience, don't confine yourself to a 'Sweet-Spot'...

Just my $.02... For instance, my 'Listening Area' is 14' x 24' Living Room
and Kitchen. I have 4 Towers w/15"s, 4 DCM Time Frames, 600's, 350's
a pair of Polk Monitor 5's, 2 big powered Subs... That's 12 Speakers,
as a result no matter where I roam around the Music Surrounds me.
I mean as long as you're "Experimenting"... Right ?? Have Fun !
