Speaker stands connundrum

So I have a relatively narrow room and for that reason I have to stack my Hereseys(1s and 2s).
I want to build small stands to lift them up off the ground a little, maybe 6 inches or so.
I was thinking of just frames, without a bottom so it's open underneath.
Am I correct on this or should there be bottom on the frame(maybe 1inch thick plywood or solid oak or something).
Your thoughts?

Make an "H" shaped stand using 2x6" boards on edge. You don't need a plywood base over it.

It gets them up off the floor, and is cheap. Paint 'em black.

I've made a couple pairs. Both are the same design but one is taller. All they are is 2x10 base and top for the short ones. The taller stands are 2x8 top and base, and 4x4 uprights. I drilled 11/32" holes in the base and tops, then drilled pilot holes in the 4x4's (drill smaller holes first so the holes will line up later). I then use 5/16th lag bolts to attach the base and tops to the uprights. Also countersink the holes it the base and tops so the bolt heads will be below the surface. Yes they need to be cleaned quite badly, or I guess I could say they've been cleaned, quite badly. Also they're getting up on thirty years old.

I did add 'L' brackets to the back of the short stands as the speakers that they are holding weigh around fifty pounds each. Not sure if that was needed but didn't want to find out the hard way that they were so I just did it to be safe. The lag bolts are going into the end grain on the 4x4's which is the weakest way to attach a thread to wood. But going on thirty years, I'd say they're strong enough
