SPEC-1 Volume pot problems

AK members, I've been having alot of problems with the volume control pot on my SPEC-1 amp for over a year. I got some spare parts from an AK member (thanks again) and it solved my problem for a few months. However, my problem returned. Well, I have found a solution to the problem of not being able to purchase a new pot for replacement. State Electronics has a line that they can use to custom build any pot needed for the SPEC amps (I know because I've replaced my volume pot as well as the power pots on my SPEC-4) Use the link below and check out the Series 70. It fit like a glove and works GREAT!! It costs $50 for a one piece charge and $75 for the pot (Well worth it to me) and takes around a week depending on production at the time of order.

Hope this helps keep your tunes loud & clear.

What kind of issues were you having with the old potentiometers?

I found cracked ceramic wafers. I have no clue how this happened but it happened twice (maybe only once and I just didn't see both the first time). The real issue for me was finding replacement parts (origional part no longer manufactured). After finding a source for a new pot, I thought I'd share the info with the people good enough to help me when I needed it.
