Spectrum 410 woofer

Hey all, I just acquired a set of Spectrum 410 speakers. The previous owner said a rodent got in one of the enclosures and chewed through the tinsel wires on the woofer. He managed to solder it and it was working. Got them home and was doing what we all do, putting them through their paces, and the solder job failed. I was pretty impressed with their sound, comfortable is how I’d describe them. No problem with fatigue.

I’m probably going to let experienced hands fix the tinsel leads, but does anyone know anyway to identify the woofer, or where a replacement could be found? Below are a few pics of the damage.
Thanks in advance for any info!

Any chance of pictures of the whole speaker? Spectrum speakers are well thought of but little known. There isn't a ton of info out there.
And for id purposes, are there any numbers on the magnet or basket? Speaker codes are the easiest clue to maker.

I couldn’t find any markings whatsoever. I think I’m going to attempt to fix the tinsel leads. If I get stuck and think the risk of further damaging is too great I’ll just stop. The guy I was going to hand it over to is almost a month out. Us audio addicts are way too antsy when wanting to use our new gear lol!
I’ll post some more pics shortly…

Here are more pics. These show the woofer from the other cabinet, everything is intact and a little cleaner so it would be easier to see any markings. If anyone wants a closer image of markings I may have overlooked just let me know…

Just letting everyone know that I have completed my tinsel lead replacement! I’m kinda anal about doing research and working through the sticky spots before I attempt the actual repair, hence the amount of time it took. I had to acquire appropriate solder, flux, tinsel wire, etc. as well. Also had to practice soldering… a lot…

I want to thank everyone on here who has shared knowledge to assist others in their repairs. I’ve spent lots of time scouring the forum for details and pictures that undoubtedly navigated me around any treacherous obstacles.

I’m still waiting for the glue to finish curing, and have to install the woofer back into the cabinet, but it ohms correctly and I’m confident it’ll work… fingers crossed!

And now for the unveiling!

Congrats.
Did you just connect to the short stub on the back side of the cone or did you extend the lead from the dustcap?

That pic is prior to my repair…

The previous owner tried doing it that way, and it worked until I put some real power through it. I pulled the dust cap off and replaced the whole tinsel lead from terminal posts to voice coil leads.

The 10" woofers for the Spectrum were custom designed so finding substitutes will be difficult. If you have a way to measure the Thiele/Small parameters of your good woofer, that would make finding a substitute more likely.

The repaired driver is working great so far. I haven’t pushed it hard yet as I’m giving the glue time to cure. You can bet it will get a workout tomorrow though! I like to feel the kick drum and bass guitar lol..
My girlfriend listens to top 40, r&b which always has enhanced bass (don’t get me started… lol), so I might as well push it so I know right away if it’s not going to hold.
