Stanton and Pickering brush VTF compensation the same?

I know that for Stanton carts, you add 1 gram to the tracking force to compensate for the Longhair Brush. But I'm substituting what is basically a Pickering stylus for my Stanton stylus (in order to use a 1-mil stylus for certain mono records), and it has the Pickering version of the brush. It seems to be lighter in weight, and I'm just wondering if the same rule of adding 1 gram of tracking force applies. I'm guessing it does, but does anyone know for sure? THANKS.

Yes it's the same 1 gram additional VTF for the brush on both.
