Stereo outputs to mono inputs?

When I am ready to hook my Accuphase C200 to the two Dynaco Mark VI amps how do I connect the cables?
The Accuphase has right and left stereo outputs marked left and right but the Dynaco has two connections marked input and low filter.

Are you just trying to run a stereo pair of Dynaco? L1 output to left amp input, R1 output to right amp input.. no mono switch.

Nice amps.

I remember years ago building an integrated :sigh:stereo amp when stereo was new(58 or 59).
The inputs were marked channel 1 & channel 2.
The front controls were marked A + B, A or B.(called mode selection)
The speaker connections were marked Left or Right. The manual had little to explain the difference.
It took me a while to organize my brain to correctly connect everything.
I know this has little to do with what your situation is but I thought you needed some time.

If you have ONE mono amplifier, set the preamp to "Mono" and take one RCA cable to the amplifier. Connect it to either the Left or Right output on the preamp...doesn't matter which as when the preamp is set to Mono, the signal is the same.

You should most likely connect it to the Low Filter RCA input, as I can't imagine your Dynaco wants to see the really low (below audibility) stuff your Accuphase is capable of passing along

Nice gear btw!

I have a pair of Dynaco Mark VI amps and I will be using them as monoblocks.

OK, then take the Left output from your Accuphase preamp and plug it into the RCA Input of the amplifier you've connected to the Left speaker.

Repeat for the process for the Right amplifier

Run the accuphase in stereo as usual. Amp #1 will amplifyt the left channel, amp #2 will handle the right. Easy Peasey.

Then you connect one of the L outputs to an amplifier and the corresponding R
output to the other amplifier. I understand there are two pairs of outputs
to allow you to drive another stereo power amp, just leave the second pair alone.

Added note: I guess I wrote essentially the same thing as redcoates7. Regards.

I think its clear now.
There are two pairs of outputs and I am to use one pair. I will pick the top which is marked #1. And leave it in stereo.
I guess when I first looked at this I thought it was like the outputs on my other amps with 2 channels with a + and - going to each speaker but this is a preamp and I think thats why I am confused.:D
