I am wondering if anyone is using Blu-Ray discs to archive your music files ? and if so have you found a way to make them play on stand alone bkuray players ?
i have been able to make a slideshow compilation DVD disc then transfer the DVD files to blu-ray via Ashampoo burning software but this is kind of a big ordeal ,so has anyone found a simpler solution ?

i would love to find a drag and drop solution

What happens when you simply burn the disc as a data disc? A Standard BD-Rom?

As long as the music is in a format that the player understands, MP3 or WMA or whatever, it should work.

I've never done this using actual blu-ray discs, but all my blu-ray players have USB ports and they all recognize music files on a USB thumb drive just fine.

unfortunately although mine will also play mp3's etc from usb or cd when a data disc is inserted with music files it does not recognize it .

that is why i have to create multiple dvd movies then compile them on blu-ray to get it to play ,i am sure there is someone making software to achieve this in an easier way but Ive not found it
