Does anyone have any sub $300 laptop recommendations, particularly as it's Cyber Monday tomorrow?
I would prefer a straight laptop, one that doesn't pretend to be a tablet or have a touch screen. Ideally, it would be available in-store so I can just walk in and pick it up. I will be using it mainly for checking my email, web sites such as AudioKarma, Craiglist and eBay. Probably ripping and burning CDs as well.
A friend bought an HP "red flyer" laptop at Walmart of all places. They got it for less than $250, but when I checked my local Walmart yesterday, it was $299. It actually looked like Black Friday had never happened, I thought I would still see some items on sale, obviously not the Black Friday deals, but something.
Anyone got any recommendations?
