Now Off the Reservation
Just had to vent for a minute, maybe some of you recall the nice sub I built up a few months, the Dayton 15" with the 500 Dayton amp that had the dual 3" PVC ventings.
I have been really enjoying this sub for several months now up until a couple nights ago when at 3 am or so in the morning I heard a real loud hum ( I leave it om and let the auto circuit shut it off later). Well it woke up the whole house and probably a neighbor or two. Seems the ground or something in it lifted and wham it went nuts. I changed power outlets, etc It was the mother board in it.
I contacted PE and they werte great about getting it changed out. I might even upgrade to the 1000 watt model, depending on what we can work out.
It was a PITA as I had to pull the woofer and the plate amp both- oh well I wasm't dreaming all that great anyway.....
