Suggestions for a CD player

I currently have a TEAC PD-800M 6 disk cartridge CD player, which is nice because it has a remote.

I'd like to get another CD player that doesn't need cartridges, and has an output for a DAC if needed. It would be nice to have a remote. One of those 5 disk carousels would be nice.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I use a Yamaha DVD C 900 - gold finish but available in black as well. I use it as a transport to a dac and although older ( circa 2000 ) seems to work well enough though never appeared to get very high marks , usually with dvd playback. They look nice with the pseudo wood end panels and can be found inexpensively. I got mine for free though I tend to use other single disc players it is useful at times when I decide to listen to multi disc playback.

You will have plenty of suggestion before long no doubt!

My three go to recommendations, all retailed for $1000 or more and now can be had for around $80.

Sony DVP NS900V, now have two in black, still looking for one in silver that isn't in Russia selling for $300 lol.

Sony DVP NS999ES looks great with my vintage silver faced gear

Sony DVP CX777ES holds all my CD's in one place

All of these are great decks.

LOL! I saw your post in another thread and started looking for the DVP NS900V. Not having much luck at $80, but at least I know what to look for. Thanks.

Sounds like maybe you should have a look at finding an upper tier Sony ES carousel changer. Or if single disc is acceptable than a dvp-s7000.

Second the Sony DVP S7000 as I use one of them as well, the next generation S7700 is alright too, basically ES level machines. Denon had some good ones ( DVD players ) such as the DVD 2800 / 2900 / 3800 as well as the older Pioneer Elites - ended up with two DV 37s that work well and in fact are noted for their longevity. There is also the DV 38. Toshiba had a higher end dvd player ( SD 9200 ) that is now quite inexpensive if you look around. These are mostly from the late '90's to early 2000s and were originally around 1,000.00 new.
