Survived the trip across the pond

Hi,

I recently moved from New York city to Belfast in Northern Ireland. It took three months for my gear to arrive but it is finally here and set up for testing:banana: Thankfully all appears to be OK and all my kit seems to have survived the transatlantic crossing without any damage. Of course, I had to invest in a heavy duty step-down voltage transformer (here in the UK we use 240V) to power everything but it doesn't seem to have any detrimental effect on sound quality. I have attached a couple of pics to share with you all.

Hi Jon,

Yes, it is a permanent relocation. The good thing about being back in the UK is that there is a lot of good old British audio equipment for sale on the UK version of that auction site that goes for much much less cash than in the US - the market just isn't as big over here. Some really nice vintage ss amps from Leak, Sugden etc. Just last week I bought a pair of absolutely mint B&W DM601 (S3) speakers for about half of what I would have expected to pay in the States! I can see the wife getting pissed off as boxes of gear start to arrive via the postal sevice!!

welcome to n.ireland, a great wee country , I wouldnt live anywhere else and you ll not get a better pint of guinness anywhere else !
