Swapping stamped T bar with a cast T Bar on AR XA

I have an early AR XA with seized up stamped T bar. Planed to swap with a cast one I just bought. Any issues I should be aware of?

Should be a simple swap

So got the cast T-bar in & swapped. Adjusted the springs. Put new belts on, hard for the platter to turn, ran slow. also the arm had friction and sticks just above where the arm would play the album. Swapped back to the original belts & slowly started spinning & got to speed. Tried adjusting the arm shaft, got it to play. it still has the derlin arm pivot section. Might swap it out with a newer metal section.
