SX-1010 Bypass capacitors?

I have a pair of pioneer SX-1010s that I am planning on re-capping. I ordered the recommended filter caps from Digi-key.

My question is whether you would add bypass capacitors to the filter capacitors?

If so, what would you use for the bypass cap?

Electrolytics tend to fall off fairly quickly as the frequency increases, compared to film or ceramic. A small "bypass" cap of better construction ensures a low impedance path for high frequencies.

For example, when recently testing a Sony amplifier, I measured one of the original bulk caps. The 4,700uF cap read perfectly at 120Hz, 4770uF, but was just 18uF at 20kHz.

I tested once, in the (old) past, as people persisted differences were to be heard. I just used a switch to switch bypass caps on and off while the amp was on.
As I was a technician my hearing abilities were judged already, so if I did hear a difference or not was not important :thmbsp:
