I have an SX-850 on my bench that came in with the complaint of crackling/popping after being on a few minutes. He said it did this regardless of which input was selected. So far I've only seen this on the phono inputs which led me directly to the "Equalizer Amp Ass'y". Poking and prodding brought one of the 2SA725Ps (per schematic, looks to be a 726) to my attention.
Thanks to this forum I've learned these transistors are always suspect and should be shotgunned. I noticed there are two 2SA720s in the power supply. Are these equally suspect?
Are there any other components that are automatically suspect?
