My receiver started to popping on left channel so I thought it is time for a recap. I did a recap and left channel is back only in mono, when i press the switch to stereo, the left channel is mute again. What and what should I look for?

Headphone has left channel working but not the right channel.

Re-check the polarity on all the caps you replaced. Its very easy to miss one or two and knock out a channel.

check all connections on the boards where you replaced the caps, and look for damaged foil or a loose connection. Also make sure you didn't break loose a wire connection while you were working on the boards. Look for a loose wire end. After you solve this problem you will be able to start looking at what is causing the popping, as I don't feel replacing caps would have fixed the popping

J808 was lifted, I resoldered it and changed the cap in mode selection board and it came back into action.
The popping has gone too, I think the two ROE in mode selection board were the cause.

The traces in the TR-2080 are really fine and easy to lift.

I agree, but it is not a hard job after all thanks to the build.
Now all the channels are so clean, it just needs time to break in the caps, but the sound is so good already.
