TEAC deck issue

I've had my A-4010SL for about a month and a half now. Put on a new capstan belt and did all the cleaning/ lubrication regimen and it works and sounds well. Except: when playing back side 2 (right to left) it begins to drag about 1/2 way through the side. Only happens when playing from right to left. Bad servo? I know squat about RtR decks, so please try to use small words so I can understand...

Make sure the pinch roller isn't glazed and hardened up, it may be slipping instead of gripping. Also if you are using thinner tape push that button for thin tape, it decreases the back tension which may be part of the problem
