Technics DD record changers: SL-1650 question

Howdy all:

I recently bought a rather nice Technics SL-1650 direct drive record player for my son's hi-fi. It has an umbrella spindle for stacking up to six records. Does anyone here know if there was a single-play spindle available for this record player? If so, anyone have an idea where we might get one?

If the sl-1650 uses can use a Sl-1200 spindle and shaft, you can get a new one from KAB Electro Acoustics for $27. http://www.kabusa.com/accesss.htm (halfway down the page). You could check with Kevin at info@kabusa.com .
