I picked up a pair of these on CL with some other gear - divided ou - these cost me like $10 - was cleaning them up, found the midranges were starting to disintegrate at the edges, so I pulled on out and used some tacky glue to do some repairs. While I was doing this, I gave the speakers a twice over. I generally like Technics gear, but these things are absolute pieces of s**t - I suppose these were probably part of a "rack" system, but really, can you go any cheaper? Why bother?. Even the port is just a hole in the baffle, no tuning there, I suppose some engineer had the idea to see what they could make with the lowest quality parts and minimal design effort they could get away with. Well, maybe someone will buy them just to get them out of the garage.
