Technics SE-C01 Micro Series Power Amplifer - mono mode speaker connection

Hello, I've owned my Technics Micro Series system since 1980 +/-
I've lost my manual and cannot recall how to connect my speaker to the power amps (I have two with the stereo/mono switch). I understand that when each amp is set to mono one becomes the left channel and the other the right channel. What is the speaker wiring configuration? Does anybody know for certain or have a diagram for the original manual?

It sounds like you have two individual stereo amplifiers.

Unless the instructions specifically say that you can biamp, the mono and stereo switches are not normally used for mono block single operation.

Got any front and back pics?

It would make help easier to provide if we knew the model numbers.

My apologies. I just realized you listed the model in the thread title.

I'm just not sure where the positive and negative speaker wire goes for each amp/channel. See the picture with the speaker terminals. There is printing in red on the top there but I'm not sure what it is instructing me to do as far as wiring the one speaker if the amp is set to mono as per the switch on the bottom of each amp.

The outputs are set vertically with the + (Red) on top and - (Black for each channel.
For Mono use:
+ (Red) from the left output
- (Black) from the right output

That's the usual connection when using a bridged amplifier. The Crowns I use to drive my subs are bridged.

Using two bridged stereo amplifiers is not bi-amping. Bi-amping requires two stereo amplifiers or four mono amplifiers.

Thank you, I appreciate your feedback. That confirms what I was thinking and I have actually tried this but I get a very loud hum so turned off the amp right away. Tried again after double-checking the wiring but had same result. I'll have to keeping troubleshooting. I will post an update afterward.

Actually, I may have misunderstood. So are you indicating the positive speaker wire is connected at top left while the negative speaker wire is connected at bottom right?
