Technics SL-J2 Tonearm Return Issue

I have a nice Technics SL-J2 table, and all functions work, except the tonearm assembly does not return to the stop/start position all the way. It stops just short, and the table will only function properly if I manually move it over. Has anyone else seen this problem? Any help will be appreciated.

I had this problem a couple of hours ago, and the problem appeared to be that the tone arm drive belt is just old and tired. I replaced it, and the motion of the tonearm is much improved! To replace the tone arm belt, you need to take out the 4 plastic rivets of the cover(each rivet is a pin and a socket. pull the pin out first, then work the socket out). Then replace the drive belt (on the left side, driving the worm gear). I used a 26mm o-ring I found. A little tight but it worked better than the old belt.
( https://lptunes.com/products/technics-sl-j2-sl-j2-sl-j2-turntable-tonearm-belt-replacement is an expensive replacement belt).

The grease was also a bit sticky, so I cleaned that all up with Rubbing Alcohol, but the real problem was the belt.

I can't believe I forgot to get back to this thread.
My problem was solved the exact same way as @mlakata posted.
I got my belt at the local hardware store (26mm o-ring).
Taking out the rivets must be done carefully, they're tricky to get out without damaging them.
Easy fix, and it works like new.
