I have an unhealthy SL1200MK2 here that I'm working on - the motor isn't working.
Lights come on, platter spins freely, LED strobe seems to function normally when the platter is manually spun in both 33 and 45. I have a copy of the manual from the web and power supply voltages seem fine. Start/Stop Switch is fine.
I'm suspicious that the AN6675 (IC101) is faulty and have a replacement on order. I'd like to scope out the waveforms in the manual but I'm not sure of the best way. I understand that you shouldn't start the turntable with the platter removed. If so, what is the best way to scope the various waveforms?
Thanks in advance,
- Gary
