Technics SU-V1X One channel a bit quiet?

My treasured 1986(?) Technics SU-V1X amplifier (bought with my first pay check) seems to be slightly playing up with one side a bit less responsive than the other.

Does anyone have the SU-V1X Service Manual?

Thanks in advance

Yea you can try but cant say I've heard of this particular technics amp - so it may be rare and not many people own them, let alone have a SM.

I'm pretty sure I've used manuals centre before, and they were fine. Instant download too. $5 seems OK to me! I've had to pay around US$25 for some manuals!

I haven't done the basics yet. And definitely a switch clean sounds sensible. Although the volume control and balance knob seems a bit scratchy I'm not sure if that's quite it... early days in my investigation.

greetings;
Good news is it's working.
"Scratchy" is a usual sure hint. Your unit 'pots' may have come with 'pot grease' and has dried or caked up. deoxit5 or something with lube and sparingly clean probably a couple times. Usual precautions as let unit sit and discharge a while. Any interconnect wire connectors may need a shot of contact cleaner. Might also inspect your speakers and wires and clean rca jacks. Post picks if you see anything unusual inside.
