Telluride Blues & Brews Festival - ever been?

I was visiting Durango, and took the loop one day and ended up in the middle of the goings on. If I had only known I would have stayed over, but it was sold out and so I had to leave. But for the couple hours I was there things were happening full bore and everyone seemed to be having great time. Take your ear plugs.

I've never been, and probably won't ever(it's not in my neck of the woods), but that looks like a fun lineup.

If you go, here's a tip; do NOT miss Monkeyjunk. They absolutely cook live.

Four years later I still haven't made one. There's the Blues & Brews festival (this month), and the Bluegrass Festival in September.

I wonder if waiting one more year might produce the best lineup (because of Covid).

I mean, if this is your kind of music (it's not mine, but to each their own), this year's lineup looks ridiculously stacked:

You could go on following the "maybe next year" line of thought until you're dead, and never experience anything. Not a way I'd like to live, but again, it's not my money. I say go and enjoy :)

I'm not really big on the Blues... and yet I enjoy my town's big blues fest, the Portland Blues Festival. I think that this is probably the second year that it won't have happened, for obvious reasons... but I've checked it out on many years in the past. usually I end up checking out acts that aren't exactly blues (not really my bag) but there have been a lot of them... like Dr John, The Neville Brothers, Zigaboo Modelste, Isaac Hays, Trombone Shorty, Liv Warfield (not so well known, but absolutely fantastic!) and one who was great, who I'd say actually is blues, Johnny Winter. They make it cheap so even if you don't end up loving the music that you hear, it still seems well worth it as a way to kill and afternoon...

The one time I've been to Telly (lived in CO for 42yrs) a pizza at a local joint was $60, my wife found a sweatshirt for $2K. Don't get me wrong, it's an incredible view, but Cruise and Oprah have to stop pricing stuff...lol. Prefer the Winterpark Blues Festival, great lineups.
