Terry DeWick has retired...

Thank you for everything Terry. You’ve changed the way I listen to music forever. I can’t imagine life without my DeWick’t McIntosh equipment. Enjoy every minute of retirement sir. You’re a living legend for all of us McLovers

Sorry to say I have no referrals, after 20 years doing repairs 7 days a week I never kept contact with other shops. The sad part is the ones I did keep in touch with have also retired or slowed down for various reasons, it is a bummer when you hit 75 things get to heavy to lift and the lawn seems to take twice as long to mow...

Agree with you. But probably you can become an adviser for a shop that you see a good potencial.
Many will really apreciate that.
Andre.

Good to hear from you Terry, and I agree, I thought getting old would take longer.

Doctor Terry, if you can lift example a McIntosh unit C22-CE preamp then you can keep enjoying doing magic repairs, don't you? I am retired too but still working and enjoying otherwise I will become more older faster. What do you think?

Terry, Congratulations on a well earned retirement and go knowing you have the respect, admiration and gratitude of a multiple of McIntosh equipment lovers, myself included. You brought 2 pieces of gear to an improved point in life for me, a MA5100 and a MC250 both visiting you from a long way away in Hawaii. The round trip shipping was never inexpensive but I always knew the repairs would be without issue, the gear tested extensively and the pricing more than fair. Each piece has performed well since easily 6-10 years in both cases. Your service was the model of integrity and your generous spirit in sharing your wisdom and knowledge has enriched this board immensely. Be safe, enjoy your new life and I wish you the best. ALOHA.

Dear Terry, congrats and enjoy retirement as I do. Now, who can repair my McIntosh units?
Look into a guy named Ray Gianelli a member of AK. (Florida) Very academic, precise, honest, problem solver, who loves to repair. He has all the lastest equiptment and he gets tremendous joy fixing things.
Also AudioClassics (NY) has a department that does amazing work

Terry was great at fixing those large Receivers from the 70s.
He restored my Sansui G9700 about 15 years ago and did a great job fixing it.

Thank You all, yes as soon as I clear out the beck log I will start on my own projects. I will still check out what is happening, would be a hard habit to break after 20 years.
Hi Terry.

I communicated with you many years ago about my MX 110 S/N 133Z1.
Now my equipment is in need of repair and restoration.

I am asking for your help in providing a repair location hopefully in my part of the country.
I was hoping that I would not have to send it to NY. I live in North Texas (Dallas).
Can you help me out?

Thank very much for your help.

Sincerely,
Rene' Ramirez

Terry has retired, his earlier reply likely still applies.
